The La Salle University Sports Medicine Department in the TruMark Financial Center Athletic Training Room consists of six full-time Athletic Trainers (ATC), through a partnership with NovaCare Rehabilitation. All members of the Athletic Training Staff are certified through the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and licensed through the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. La Salle's Athletic Trainers work with NovaCare, Temple Health, and La Salle University’s Student Health Services & Counseling Center to help oversee the health and well-being of all student-athletes.
NovaCare Rehabilitation professionals also provide physical therapy services on campus in the TruMark Financial Center‘s Athletic Training Room.
PHYSICALS
For the upcoming school year, we will be conducting preparticipation physicals on campus. Information about this process, including dates, will be communicated to student-athletes via university email. Student-athletes will be required to complete a health history form prior to reporting to campus for your physical. You can find these forms below:
NOTE: Physicals must be completed on campus by a team physician and/or a member of the La Salle sports medicine team.
SICKLE CELL
The NCAA requires all new student-athletes, incoming freshman, and transfers to provide documentation of a Sickle Cell Trait screening. Information about Sickle Cell Trait and Sickle Cell Trait screening is available below.
