Dr. Ken Miller

Evolutionary biologist Dr. Ken Miller will lecture on Grandeur in this View of Life: Reflections on Evolution, Life, and Faith at La Salle University on Monday, September 21, at 1 p.m. in the University’s Dan Rodden Theatre. The talk is free and open to the public. Miller, a professor at Brown University, is a practicing Roman Catholic and the author of two books, Finding Darwin’s God and Only a Theory.

At 3 p.m., Miller will participate in a question-and-answer session at the “Explorer Café,” located in the atrium of Holroyd Hall, which will feature a series of lectures from various disciplines throughout the year.  Miller’s appearance kicks-off La Salle’s year-long Celebration of Science to coincide with the $31M renovation and expansion of Holroyd Hall featuring the Hugh and Nancy Devlin Center for Science and Technology. Miller will also visit science and religion classes while at the University.

The Celebration of Science series is part of the University’s “The Explorer Connection,” a program that includes the Essential Question and the Philadelphia Center /City and Region Initiative.
