Urgent Care and Walk-in Clinics: Many people think when their primary care physician is unavailable, emergency medicine at an ER is their only choice for treatment. Walk-in clinics, acute care and urgent care facilities can treat many of the medical issues one would take to an ER for emergency care, but without the high medical bill. You’ll be seen by a physician quicker than you would in most typical ERs, at a lower price, without sacrificing high-quality care. They are capable of performing physicals, administering vaccines, stitching minor cuts, and accommodating sick visits for sore throats, earaches, coughs, urinary tract infections, etc.
Call to see if they take your insurance. You will need to provide your own transportation.
Emergency Room: Care for life-threatening emergencies should be directed to a local emergency room.
