Where We Go

 

Students have the option of studying abroad via one of our student exchange programs or students can study abroad through a variety of other options.

La Salle has a direct partnership with Arcadia University. Arcadia specializes in creating study abroad programs for universities across the U.S.

  • To begin the application and pre-approval processes, we require all interested students to meet with Melinda Ingersoll to determine which program best fits your academic and personal goals.

Students who are interested in a US program outside that is not a La Salle affiliated program, must meet with Melinda to go over the program approval criteria. All programs need to be through a U.S middle states accredited institution.

  • Please note that the program provider sets application deadlines and requirements that are beyond the control of La Salle, and it is necessary to pay careful attention to all of their posted application information.

Application Process 

All students planning on participating on any study abroad program are required to complete the La Salle study abroad application  

Eligibility 

  • 2.5 minimum GPA is the standard GPA requirement. However, some programs may require a higher GPA. 
  • Students are required to complete at least one full year at La Salle before they can study abroad. 
  • All students must complete the application/approval process  
  • All La Salle students participating in a semester or academic year long program abroad must enroll in the course equivalent of 12 La Salle credits per semester and 6 credit hours per summer.  
  • Students can not study abroad their last semester, certain exceptions can be made but student must get the appropriate approval.

Please keep in mind that submission of a study abroad application is not a guarantee of acceptance. Once you have turned in all of the materials required for your study abroad program, your application will be reviewed and a decision will be made regarding your acceptance into the program at that point in time. For students participating in an exchange or affiliated-partner program, final admissions decisions are made by the international program abroad and are out of La Salle’s control.
