Alumni who seek services that have graduated within the past year may schedule an in-person or phone advising appointment through Handshake. If you graduated more than one year ago, appointments can be made by emailing Debra Franke, Assistant Director of Alumni Career Programs.

Job Search Strategizing
Whether you are a young alumnus/a or an experienced professional, your first step is to determine your target and then develop your marketing materials and job search strategy.
Debra Franke, Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement for Alumni Career Programs, is available for 1-1 individualized coaching.
Career Change Advisement
Deciding to change careers can be scary, exciting, overwhelming and freeing – all at the same time. Step back and do some self-assessing, clarify what’s important to you at this stage in your life, brainstorm options, research the ones that interest you the most, develop short and/or long-term goals and plan to get there, and put your plan into action.
Networking Resources
There are many opportunities to build your network including through La Salle Alumni Association Events and Volunteer Opportunities.

Candidates for Your Organization
Depending upon your organization’s specific needs, the University Career Center is ready to assist you as you develop recruitment strategies, plan your hiring cycles, or search for candidates to fill immediate openings. The Career Center offers a variety of ways to help identify qualified candidates (student workers, interns & co-ops, graduating seniors, and recent graduates) in an easy, affordable manner. Alumni Career Volunteers
Alumni career volunteers help fellow Explorers develop their careers through events and programs such as mock interviews, resume reviews, job shadows, mentoring, and career discussions.

Webinars
The Alumni Association is committed to supporting alumni career development, transitions, and job searches, through programs and services that establish and utilize a strong alumni network system. To learn more about our webinar series, please contact Debra Franke.
Explorer Shadow Program
You can help students clarify their career goals by hosting students in your workplace for a day to observe, participate and learn about your industry, role and organization. Being a host presents the opportunity to mentor the next generation of professionals while also expanding your organization’s brand awareness.
The Explorer Shadow Program is a one-day shadow experience that allows La Salle students to “shadow”, or observe, a professional to get a behind-the-scenes look at a specific job or company.
Job shadows will take place December 4, 2023 – January 31, 2024 AND March 11, 2024 – May 31, 2024.
Handshake
Handshake is a software tool and job board that allows employers to post jobs and connect with schools around the nation and internationally.
