Full-time freshmen with extensive community service backgrounds who commit to service while at La Salle are eligible for the Community Service Scholarship, which provides up to $5,000 annually. The scholarship reflects La Salle’s longstanding devotion to serving the community.
To get their award renewed each semester, recipients of the Community Service Scholarship must:
Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Perform seven hours per week of community service
Attend an overnight retreat early in fall semester
Participate in twice-monthly meetings of Community Service Scholarship recipients
Actively contribute to community building among scholarship recipients
Meet individually with the program coordinator every month and submit a reflection journal
During freshman year, live in the Signum Fidei living-learning community in a residence hall
