Logan Community School As a Community School, James Logan Elementary School collaborates with the City of Philadelphia, the School District, community organizations, higher education institutions, such as LaSalle, and the residents of Philadelphia to pave the way for student success. Priorities and activities include:
School climate: School events, resource fairs, and attendance supports
Authentic family and community engagement: Arts and culture events, adult education classes, and parent cafes
Integrated health and social services: Food distribution, clothing closets, backpack drives, and student/family connection to behavioral health services and other supports
Expanded learning time and opportunities: Quality out-of-school time programs, youth summer employment, and career exploration
The La Salle Autism and Developmental Disabilities Education Resources (LADDER) Supported by the Widener Family Foundation, the mission of the LADDER Family Center is to positively enhance the quality of life for children and their families who are dealing with challenges related to autism spectrum disorder or another Developmental Disability. Families are embraced as partners in the process of addressing these challenges to provide a unique, coordinated, and multidisciplinary experience to create positive expectations, actions, and solutions. LADDER host a number of events for families, services for neurotypical students who attend La Salle University, and learning opportunities for La Salle education, social work and nursing majors.
