How have you remained active or engaged with the University as an alumna since graduation? I never disconnected… I worked for the University for 3.5 years after graduation serving as an Admissions Counselor and then Assistant Director under E Gerald Fitzgerald, F.S.C. I have regularly attended basketball games for over 40 years. I have represented La Salle at high school College Nights. I have gathered fraternity brothers to attend campus gatherings for over 35 years. I have participated in on campus high school recruitment days. I have attended mass throughout the many years on campus. I still connect and see many retried faculty.
Why do you want to run for the Alumni Board of Directors? I feel serving on the Board is like a calling. I have never left La Salle in many ways as I still return to campus for many occasions. For many years, I have friends and collogues who work at universities across the US and and we regularly talk about the future of higher ed., particularly Catholic universities. Through my background and experience working in both higher education and in secondary schools, I can add a perspective and knowledge around recruiting, retention and student life. I would also work at bringing more alumni back to campus for programs and events.
Is there any other information you would like to share? I would like to deepen my commitment to serving the University and work at strengthening the alumni and the mission of the University. My work experience at La Salle started a career that afforded me a unique insight in working with groups, working with systems and meeting set goals.
