At La Salle University, we understand the importance of maintaining a work-life balance. We value the time our employees take to recharge and care for themselves and their loved ones. For benefits-eligible employees, this typically includes vacation days, sick days for an employee’s own illness, the ability to use sick time to care for others, paid holidays, and flexibility with work arrangements, where appropriate.

Holidays

The University’s official holiday schedule is set by the President of the University and is typically published each year in February for the following Academic Year (June 1-May 31). Throughout each year, additional holidays may be announced at the discretion of the President.

Sick Leave and Vacation

Eligible employees are provided with paid time off to support the multifaceted issues our employees face in balancing their work and family commitments.

All full-time employees are eligible for one paid sick day per month of service. Part-time employees who work a minimum of 15 hours per week for 12 months receive a pro-rated amount.

All full-time exempt employees are eligible for 20 vacation days per year. All full-time non-exempt employees are eligible for 10 vacation days per year. Full-time non-exempt employees earn additional vacation days when years of service milestones are reached. Part-time employees who work a minimum of 15 hours per week for 12 months receive a pro-rated amount.
