Timeline

The Self-Study timeline was developed by the Self-Study Co-Chairs with the Provost and Chief of Staff—both of whom are advisory members of the Steering Committee.

Fall 2022: Self-Study Chairs Identified, Attend Self-Study Institute

  • Identify Self-Study Co-Chairs
  • October-November: Attend Self-Study Institute
  • Initial discussions with the Provost and Chief of Staff on the proposed timeline, structure and organization of the Self-Study, and institutional priorities and Self-Study outcomes

Spring 2023: Begin Self-Study

  • January-February: Identify members of the Self-Study Steering Committee
  • March: Identify members of the Working Group Co-Chairs and assemble the Self-Study Working Groups
  • March-April: Draft and submit Self-Study Design (SSD) for Self-Study Preparation Visit (SSPV)
  • May 2: Campus SSPV by MSCHE vice president liaison, Dr. Anne Wahl
  • May-June: Make recommended edits and submit revised SSD to MSCHE for final approval

Summer 2023: Continue Self-Study

  • June-July: Review Evidence Inventory and begin data collection
  • August: Working Groups reconvene

Fall 2023: Continue Self-Study and Collect Evidence

  • August-November: Work groups gather and analyze data and submit progress reports to the Steering Committee
  • December: Write Self-Study draft

Spring 2024: Continue Self-Study and Collect Evidence

  • January: Continue writing Self-Study first draft
  • January: Team chair selection begins
  • February: Steering Committee reviews first draft
  • March: Self-Study first draft shared with campus community
  • April: Continue writing second draft
  • May: Steering Committee reviews second draft

Summer 2024: Continue Self-Study

  • June: Administrative review of second draft

Fall 2024: Complete Self-Study

  • August: Community feedback
  • September: Final revisions
  • October: Draft to Team Chair
  • November: Team Chair visit
  • December: Self-study draft finalized based on evaluation team chair feedback and campus community feedback

Spring 2025: Plan and Conduct MSCHE Site Visit

  • January-February: Final self-study report, verification of compliance, and evidence inventory uploaded to MSCHE portal by February 16, 2025
  • March: Campus preparation for evaluation team visit
  • March 30-April 2: Self-study evaluation team visit
  • April: Team report and institutional response
  • June: Commission action
