  • Acted in some of the plays produced by the Masque and the Summer Music Theater (“Knickerbocker Holiday”)
  • Developed the Nursing Department, which evolved into the School of Nursing
  • Facilitated the renaming of La Salle College to La Salle University (1984)
  • Purchased the Belfield property and its  Peale mansion
  • Acquired the Good Shepherd and the Basil Orphanage properties
  • Built the new Connelly Library (opened 1988)
  • Transitioned, after La Salle, to the Presidency of The Catholic University of America
  • Brother Pat also sang the National Anthem for some Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers games, plus his hometown Baltimore Orioles
