A message from the Office of the President

Pride

Dear Explorers,

We are just a few months removed from our 2024 undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies. I still feel an immense sense of pride when I recall looking out at our graduates, confident that La Salle has prepared them for the next stage in their lives. I invite you to learn more about these incredible students. Contained within the pages of this issue of La Salle Magazine, and even more online, are profiles from the Class of 2024 who exemplify what it means to be known for more.

And what future awaits our recent graduates? Look no further than the feature stories in this issue that illustrate the remarkable accomplishments and impacts of our alumni: individuals who were given a strong liberal arts and experiential foundation at 20th and Olney built on our Lasallian values.

Which leads me to say thank you to all those who so generously gave to enhance the student experience and impact current and future Explorers. During this year’s Day of Giving in April, we raised more than $1.4 million, a single-year record, and the fourth-straight year of $1 million or more. Thank you.

Finally, I look forward to seeing you on campus for homecoming or other campus events. I also look forward to your joining me to cheer on our student-athletes in the renovated John Glaser Arena at the TruMark Financial Center as well as to support the addition of our four varsity sports teams featured in the cover story.

Part of our vision is to be the leading Lasallian Catholic educational institution. With your continued support, that vision will become a reality.

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D.
President
