On the eve of the Big 5 Classic men’s basketball championship game against Saint Joseph’s University, President Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D., and Saint Joseph’s President Cheryl McConnell, Ph.D., took center stage to ring the iconic Philadelphia 76ers Liberty Bell️ on Dec. 6, 2024. While the La Salle men’s basketball team fell to Saint Joseph’s, 82-68, in the Big 5 Classic Championship the next night at the Wells Fargo Center, the Explorers finished second in the Big 5 standings, their best finish since the 2017-18 season.
