Charles J. Fornaciari is a professor of management in the School of Business at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to his arrival at La Salle in August, 2015, Dr. Fornaciari was a professor of management and the Uncommon Friends Chair in Ethics at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL.
His teaching areas are business strategy, ethics, corporate governance, and organizational behavior. His research interests include the business of business schools, spirituality and religion in organizations, business ethics, and effective teaching practices.
Dr. Fornaciari has published in journals including the Journal of Management Inquiry, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Organizational Change Management, the Journal of Management, Spirituality & Religion, the Organization Management Journal,the Journal of Management Education, the Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education, the Journal of Education for Business, and the Journal of Business Ethics Education.
He has consulted with various organizations on topics ranging from strategic planning to ethical decision-making practices. He previously served as the lead judge for the Uncommon Friends Foundation’s annual business ethics award in southwest Florida.
Dr. Fornaciari serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Management Education. He also serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Learning & Educationjournal and the Journal of Management, Spirituality & Religion.
He is a recipient of the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society’s New Educator Award, its Mid-Career Distinguished Educator Award, and its Peter J. Frost Mentoring Award.
He received an MBA in finance and a Ph.D. in strategic management from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.
