Cynthia McGovern received her BSN from Holy Family University in 1985 and her MSN from La Salle University in 1993. In 2004 she was hired as an adjunct faculty member at La Salle and in 2006 joined the full-time clinical faculty. She has taught a variety of clinical courses including Pediatrics, Public Health, Fundamentals, and Maternity.
Outside of teaching, McGovern is actively working with The Seeing Eye Puppy- Raising Project, whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of blind people through the use of seeing eye dogs. She has just completed raising her first puppy.
