Dr. Deb Byrne joined the faculty at La Salle in August 2013. Her clinical practice experience is in the medical-surgical area within the acute care setting. As a nurse educator, her areas of focus have been medical-surgical, professional practice of nursing, chronic illness and nursing fundamentals. Dr. Byrne’s research interests include caring, cultural competence, end of life care, NCLEX success, simulation, health disparities, chronic illness, social determinants of health, and communication. She enjoys educating the students in the classroom, clinical, and simulation settings.
