Gwyneth Eliasson received her Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School, and her master of public health degree, with a concentration in Health Systems and Policy, from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) School of Public Health (now Rutgers School of Public Health). She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Binghamton University-State University of New York. Currently, she is an adjunct professor in the Public Health program at La Salle University.
Before coming to La Salle, she was a Legal Services and public interest attorney advocating for low-income New Yorkers in administrative hearings and appeals and in federal courts. More recently, she was the first public health policy analyst with the Center for Public Health Law Research at Temple University Beasley School of Law and a consulting attorney for Rutgers School of Law, managing projects to develop a medical-legal partnership in Camden, New Jersey. She is an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey and a guest lecturer at Rutgers School of Public Health.
She is a member of the Policy Committee in the Law Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA). She also is a member of the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA), serving on the Health Reform Task Force and the Medical Legal Partnerships Work Group. She is the editor of the newsletter of the New Jersey Public Health Association (NJPHA).
