Dr. McMonigle received her B.A. degree in Psychology from La Salle University and her M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Temple University. She received her license in Psychology in 1993. Dr. McMonigle began teaching as part-time faculty at La Salle in 1988 and became a full-time non-tenure track faculty member in 2000 and later a tenure-track one in the Psychology Department. She has taught a variety of courses including Graduate Teaching- Counseling Principles and Techniques, Counseling Lab I, Advanced Counseling Lab, Developmental Psychology, Human Sexuality, Theories of Personality, Introduction to Graduate Writing and Research and Undergraduate Teaching- Introduction to Psychology, Personality Theories, Developmental Psychology, Counseling Theories and Techniques, Abnormal Psychology, Principles of Psychology, Personality Dynamics and Adjustment and Effective Communication.
Dr. McMonigle’s interests involve reading, dancing, music and creating outdoor living spaces that add beauty to the community.
