The President’s Student Advisory Council (PSAC) provides La Salle University’s leadership with the student perspective on a variety of matters affecting the institution. PSAC is a roundtable of undergraduate and graduate students, representing a broad range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, who respond to agenda topics presented by the President with the ultimate goal of advancing La Salle’s interests and bettering the campus community. In addition, PSAC members serve as ambassadors for the University with fellow students, faculty, staff, and administrators as well as to internal/external stakeholders and distinguished visitors to La Salle.
PSAC members are nominated by the campus community and appointed for a one-year term. Members are appointed based on the strength of their applications, their involvement on and beyond campus, their ability to demonstrate that they will work well with their peer Council members, and their ability to appropriately handle potentially delicate subject matter.
It is expected that members of PSAC will bring to their role an institutional mindset, seeking outcomes that benefit the entire La Salle community and acknowledging the viewpoints and perspectives of their student peers. PSAC is intended to represent the student body at La Salle and to bring forward ideas and concerns regarding academics and campus life.
