Thank you to all of our community members who have graciously volunteered to be part of a working group of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. Last week the Committee held its inaugural meeting, at which the Co-Chairs (Meghan Pierce and Mark Engberg) and Communication Chair (Angela Polec) met with the co-chairs of each of the strategic pillars. The co-chairs are as follows:
Pillar 1:Enhance the quality, rigor, and national reputation of the University Co-Chairs: David Cichowicz and Alicia Stonesifer
Pillar 2:Deliver a transformational, holistic, mission-focused student experience Co-Chairs: Gaby St. Léger and Nicole Bailey
Pillar 3: Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration throughout the University Co-Chairs: Lynne Texter and Charles Fornaciari
Pillar 4:Build bold, sustainable international partnerships Co-Chairs: Melinda Ingersol and Mey-Yen Moriuchi
Pillar 5:Integrate Lasallian formation and DEI opportunities throughout the campus community Co-Chairs: Alisa Macksey and Shakeya Foreman
Pillar 6:Chart a sustainable financial future Co-Chairs: Christopher Lydon and Jennifer Kleinow
During the meeting, the group discussed each of the strategic pillars, the process involved in strategic planning, a communication plan around the main deliverable, and a timeline for the process. The next steps of the committee will be focused on each set of co-chairs building their larger working groups and beginning the process of formulating goals and strategies around each of the pillars. In the coming weeks, each of the working groups will develop a work plan and strategies to lead outreach to the broader community.
We will continue to update you on the plan as we make progress on developing the University’s next strategic plan.
Sincerely,
Mark Engberg, Ph.D. Chief of Staff
Meghan Pierce, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Marketing
