A Tradition of Community-Engaged Teaching

As a school founded in the Lasallian educational tradition, we practice evidence-based teaching strategies that promote freedom of inquiry. Our faculty work side by side with students to learn and grow together, applying that same culture of questioning and improvement to our own teaching practices.

The De La Salle Institute for Teaching and Learning

The institute works in our campus community and beyond to support evidence-based teaching practices that lead to meaningful learning. Its faculty conduct research on pedagogical strategies, participate in the Lasallian research network of schools, publish instructional resources for faculty, and administer awards to outstanding teachers.

Instructional Design

The ID Team offers training and assistance with learning technologies like Canvas, course design and development resources, online learning platforms, and help with topics like accessibility, copyrights, and assessment. 

The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University

The center provides nonprofit organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region with educational services, consulting and leadership development, and best practices for management, operation, and governance so they can carry out their mission. They offer classes and online learning, on-site group education, and other educational resources.

Connelly Library and Learning Commons

The Connelly Library has digital and on-campus resources for educators and education students, with lesson plans, access to education databases, educational media for use in classrooms, and more.
