Founder’s Hall is home to a number of standout experiential learning spaces such as the John T., ‘66 and Maureen A. Fries Trading Room. The Trading Room is equipped with Bloomberg Terminals and a stock ticker tape to track the ups and downs of the stock market. The room is a research facility that grows to play a central role in shaping innovations in the practice of finance.
Student Case Competitions allow students to work in teams on real or simulated business cases as a part of regional, national, and international collegiate competitions. Recent case competition were hosted not only in Philadelphia; our students have competed in Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Canada. The Trading room is available for use not only by students in the School of Business, but by all majors across the University.
The Trading room was made possible through the generous donations of John, ’66, and Maureen Fries.
