Recognized nationally this year on Monday, Jan. 15, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day provides many opportunities for the La Salle community and those in the Philadelphia area to celebrate and honor the legacy of the civil rights activist.    

Heights Philadelphia (“Heights”) announced 12 formal partnerships with colleges and universities, including La Salle University, committed to students and the organization’s bold vision that “all Philadelphia students graduate high school and achieve economic mobility through college and workforce success.”

The scholarship made in Br. Sheehy’s honor will be given to a student with strong academic credentials and a demonstrated financial need.

Chris Picariello, ’95, remembers the opportunities provided for him at La Salle to begin his career. 

The La Salle community came together on Giving Tuesday to support the future of the University.  

The annual campus event celebrated Christmas and other holiday religions with a hot cocoa bar, decorating stations, and photos with Santa.

President Daniel J. Allen, Ph.D. joins two other Philadelphia higher education presidents to help shape the next administration.

They were among the 27 new members of prominent physicians, experts from public health and academia, and civic leaders.
